i think we are all born "polymath" like. due to societal conditioning and our own choices we lose this ability as we grow older. we have to be childlike to retain creativity, comparatively possess less fear of other people's opinions, biases and prejudices.

Conditioned thought process versus unconditioned open minded thinking-Will they yield differing results ? I think so. example-the statement "I contain multitudes"-A conditioned mind will think I as a single biological unit which contains many say for e.g.  many hairs. But an unconditioned mind can think otherwise. I could be an emergence of multitudes of cells.. so it depends on a top down approach, a bottom up approach-somewhere in-between, an overlap-but thinking has to be unconditioned to be original.
